Hi Chris - While I have had success in the past with updates to Edgerater as you release templates, with the April 2014 update I repeatedly receive the dialog box "Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor." after I accept the prompt to install the new version.
What should I check or modify to my system?

One thing to check is that you have the latest .NET framework 4.5 version from Microsoft. You can install it from here:

If you try to install .NET 4.5 and it says that you already have it installed then you are good to go on that front.
The next thing to check would be the information in the 'Details' of the error message. If you post the entire text of the details here I will take a look and suggest the next step.

Searching the web for this error message I've seen some suggestions to run 'Windows Update' and accept all of the necessary updates. So please try that.
After that, the next step would be to do the following to try for a completely fresh install:
1. Backup your {Documents}\EdgeRater folder and subfolders to a safe place
2. Delete {Documents}\EdgeRater and all subfolders.
3. Uninstall EdgeRater
4. Reboot
5. Re-install EdgeRater.
If you still have the problem after that we will need to do an online support call, so please let me know.
