Hi all,
I wanted to do some trade simulation with the ConnersRSI but don't see those Chart Scripts in the Entries and Exits tabs. Are they somewhere else? I know that those templates have built-in simulation but that simulation doesn't appear to allow me to set the max number of open positions or capital per trade.
thanks,
John
Is ConnersRSI available on Entries/Exits?

Under "System Scans" section of the Indicators, at the bottom is the CRSI Entries Scan..
Drag that over and voila!

Re: Is ConnersRSI available on Entries/Exits?
Thank you for your reply.
I see that there are several scans which appear to be related to CRSI
Am I correct that 'CRSILeveragedETFs_Setups' and 'CRSILeveratedETFs_Entries' are both selectors that are used in the 'Entries' tab?
Am I also correct that these three items are exit selectors?
1. CGTMA (Close > MA(N))
2. RSINGTX(RSI(N) > X)
3. CRSIGTX (Conners RSI > X)
One of the parameters for 'CRSILeveratedETFs_Entries' calls for the name of an exit script, 'CRSIGTX(80)'. Does this mean that that exit script must be used?
Also, the 'CRSILeveratedETFs_Entries' script has a parameter 'MaxEntries', is that the number of times to enter?
Thank you for your generous help.

Re: Is ConnersRSI available on Entries/Exits?
You have to use the Entries Indicator. I would guess you can choose a different exit rule on the exit tab that would override the CRSI exit on the entry.
I think that max entry also can be adjusted, as you wish, to run the initial performance run. However, I just make it really high to get more selections and then adjust that Limit of Entries on the right column of the Trade Simulation tab.
But I'm still learning.

Re: Is ConnersRSI available on Entries/Exits?
Thanks, I got some very good results with the following:
CRSILeveragedETFs_Entries, x = 20
CGTMA (Close < MA(N)) N = 5
I ran this on all 500 S&P 500 stocks with the portfolio divided into fifths, max of 5 open. I think the trick is to keep as much of the portfolio working at a time with a large enough amount to overwhelm the commissions. The average gain was only .5 percent but there were 471 trades.

Re: Is ConnersRSI available on Entries/Exits?
You can do better than that, John.
So, you are using CRSI against stocks vs etfs?
Did you have to break out the s&p 500 into seperate lists due to system limitations?
Keep up the good work.

Also,
The CRSI scan is for Leveraged ETF’s. THe methodology for scanning stocks using the CRSI has more criteria, per the guide.
Chris,
Do you think a CSRI scan for stocks is a possible candidate for your February Strategy?????
Thanks,
Papa

Re: Is ConnersRSI available on Entries/Exits?
Setting aside the ETF vs stock question for the moment it doesn't appear that the CRSI entries in the System Scan are doing any scaling in. I used the CRSILeveragedETFS_System and set the Max Entries to 3 but the trades only took one position.
Do you have it set up so that it is scaling in multiple positions in the trade simulation?
thanks,
john
