Looks like a great addition! The addition of exits will greatly enhance the power of EdgeRater.

I wondered how you were going to add in exit strategies other than time based exits and what you have designed here totally rocks. I love the idea of being able to apply trading rules on top of these events without having to code the rules into the strategies like you do with other packages. Great job.

Chris,

Very impressive.

Somewhere down the line will you be able to program in market timing? So we can get into and out of positions in simulations based on market timing as well as indicators. I use a modified Poseidon market timing system and would like to be able enter long and short trade simulations based on the Poseidon market signal.

That would actually be possible today if you were prepared to use the built in C# editor. What you would need to do is read past timing signals from an existing file that you may have. Alternatively if you know how the signal is calculated you could do that calculation instead of reading a file. The C# interface is extremely powerful and is included to allow just this sort of extension.

This is really good stuff. I heard rumor that there will be a price increase with the next version. Is this true? (I'm not saying it is not justified, just want to know.) Also is it true that if I buy now I get all upgrades for the next year?

Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
After researching the market I feel that a price increase is justified with the new version. The feature set is unparalleled even in programs that cost many thousands of dollars. I think that even with this price increase the program represents great value and you should be easily able to recoup the cost by using the program in your trading.

It is true that if you buy before the new version is released you will get one year of free upgrades which will include this upcoming release and all others for one year.

Thanks,
Chris.

Hi Chris: I continue to be very impressed with what you are accomplishing with EdgeRater,
and the support you give to all of us which enhances the performance using HGS Investor
principles. I can't wait to get the sell side filters incorporated for %B with Market Indexes,
ETF's and stocks. Thank you very much for all your help. Best Regards, Ian
